The Proscenic P11 Mopping Vacuum: A Surprisingly Effective Cleaning Companion
My wife and I have always had a slight obsession with cleaning. We find it oddly satisfying to make our home spotless. However, as our lives get busier, finding the time for those deep cleans becomes increasingly challenging, especially when you have cats ruling your home.
About a month ago, we adopted the Narwal Freo robot vacuum/mop, and it has completely changed the game for us. The only downside is that it’s primarily limited to the downstairs level of our house and isn’t the best for spot cleaning.
We do have two Dyson vacuums, which do a decent job on our hardwood floors. But let’s be honest, “decent” isn’t satisfactory when you consider the cost of these vacuums. While they work wonders on carpeted floors, they can be quite frustrating when it comes to picking up litter that our cats track out of the litter box.
So, when I received the Proscenic P11 Mopping Vacuum, I was both excited and wary. We had tried mop attachments for the Dyson in the past, but they always ended up in the trash or returned to the manufacturer. Needless to say, I had my doubts about a cordless vacuum that also functioned as a mop.
To my surprise, the Proscenic P11 Mopping Vacuum exceeded my expectations. Unlike the Dyson mop attachments, which mostly leaked and failed to clean the floors properly, the Proscenic mop attachment takes a more analog approach. It doesn’t have spinning brushes or spray bars.
Instead, it features a water reservoir that you fill up. Once filled, you attach the mop head to the bottom of the main vacuum attachment. As you push the vacuum over the floor, the mop slowly soaks the mop pad with liquid, while the vacuum picks up debris.
The simplicity of this setup is surprisingly effective, and the Proscenic vacuum outperforms the Dyson on hardwood floors. Moreover, all of our Dyson attachments work seamlessly with the Proscenic, which is a major plus for us.

Our Experience
Aside from the mopping attachment, there are a few ways in which the Proscenic outperforms our Dyson vacuums. Firstly, it is lighter, making it much easier to handle during long cleaning sessions. Additionally, the Proscenic has a trigger that clicks on and off, eliminating the need to hold the trigger down continuously while vacuuming. This feature is a welcome change, as the Dysons can be tough on your fingers and hands after a while.
Another handy feature is the Proscenic’s ability to collapse into a smaller form factor. When fully extended, the vacuum tube measures 24 inches, but when collapsed, it’s just 15 inches. This makes vacuuming stairs a breeze. Alternatively, you can remove the tube altogether and use it in handheld mode.
Having bright LED lights integrated into the vacuum is a surprisingly useful addition that we didn’t find on the Dyson. It significantly improves visibility while cleaning. The battery life on the Proscenic is comparable to the Dyson, and it offers three different power settings to help conserve battery. The only downside is that the Proscenic’s power adjustment is manual, unlike the Dyson V11, which automatically adjusts power as needed.
Most importantly, the mop attachment provided with the Proscenic is a game-changer. We have used it numerous times, and it has yet to disappoint us.
