Microsoft Leaks Surface Laptop Studio 2, Surface Laptop Go 3, and Surface Go 4 Ahead of Event

Microsoft’s highly anticipated Surface event is just around the corner, but the cat is already out of the bag. Leaked renders and information have surfaced, giving us a sneak peek into what Microsoft has in store for us. According to German website WinFuture, these leaks were obtained from third-party retailers who have inadvertently been given official data from Microsoft. Although this may not be the ideal situation for Microsoft, it surely has got tech enthusiasts buzzing with excitement.

Let’s start with the Surface Laptop Studio 2. This new version seems to look similar to its predecessor, maintaining the same sleek chassis with minor additions. The only noticeable physical changes are the inclusion of a USB-A port and a MicroSD slot. The leaked information suggests that it will feature a 14.4-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. While the fairly chunky bezels remain the same, PixelSense technology will allow users to utilize a stylus with the device.

Under the hood, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 will reportedly be powered by Intel’s 13th-generation Raptor Lake H processors, specifically offering options for the Intel Core i7-13700H and i7-13800H. Additionally, it is expected to come with an Nvidia RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 graphics card and up to 64GB of memory. As for pricing, the entry-level models are estimated to be priced at around $2,399, while the top-end version could set you back about $3,949.

Moving on to the Surface Go lineup, WinFuture’s leaked information reveals some exciting changes for both the Surface Go 3 and the upcoming Surface Go 4. In terms of design, the Surface Go 3 is expected to have a familiar look. However, internally it is speculated to feature an Intel Core i5-1235U chip, a 256GB SSD, and 8GB of memory. These improvements will likely enhance the overall performance of the device.

As for the Surface Go 4, it is rumored to be launched at Microsoft’s special event on September 21. WinFuture claims that it will be equipped with an Intel N200 processor, deviating from previous speculation of an AMD or ARM system-on-a-chip. The leak originated from a Swiss distributor that accidentally revealed the details of the Surface Go 4 while giving away a unit prematurely.

With the Surface event just a few days away, Microsoft may be disappointed that information has leaked earlier than expected. Nevertheless, tech enthusiasts can look forward to all the official details on the new Surface devices, as well as potential updates to Bing Chat and Copilot, directly from the event. Stay tuned for the latest updates and discoveries as they happen.
