Samsung Frame TVs Partner with New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art to Showcase Iconic Paintings and Ancient Artifacts

The Frame TV x The Met

Samsung is bringing a touch of New York City to its Frame televisions with a new partnership featuring renowned artworks from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Through this collaboration, 38 digital reproductions of iconic paintings, ancient artifacts, and celebrated tapestries will be available to frame and display on Samsung Frame televisions.

The high-resolution artwork selection includes masterpieces such as Vincent van Gogh’s “Sunflowers,” Edgar Degas’ “The Rehearsal of the Ballet Onstage,” Georges Seurat’s “Circus Sideshow,” and Emanuel Leutze’s “Washington Crossing the Delaware.” Alongside these iconic paintings, the collection also includes images of ancient treasures like an Egyptian wedjat eye amulet and medieval artifacts.

In order to access the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection and other artwork available on the Frame TV, users will need to subscribe to the Art Mode feature for $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. It is worth noting that this subscription not only provides access to the Met collection but also offers over 2,300 art pieces from galleries and museums worldwide, making it the largest art collection available on any television platform.

While there are other “art” televisions on the market, Samsung’s Frame stands out for its unique implementation of artwork. The Frame TV features a picture frame bezel and a slim wall mount, giving it the appearance of a traditional painting when turned off. When in Art Mode, the matte display transforms into a canvas-like surface, allowing users to showcase a variety of artwork that resembles actual paintings hanging on the wall.

To access the new Met collection, as well as other available collections, users can simply open Art Mode on their Frame TV and navigate to the “Art Store” option in the menu. The Samsung Frame TV offers a seamless experience, effortlessly blending technology and art to enhance any living space.

Samsung’s partnership with the Metropolitan Museum of Art brings the world of art and culture into the homes of consumers, allowing them to appreciate and enjoy renowned masterpieces from the comfort of their own living rooms. This collaboration highlights the potential of technology to enrich our daily lives and create unique experiences.

So, if you’re looking to add a touch of elegance and artistry to your living space, the Samsung Frame TV might just be the perfect choice. With its extensive art collection, including the collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Frame TV offers a captivating fusion of technology and aesthetics that will undoubtedly impress anyone who crosses its path.
